Hush Lounge releases statement in response to mass shooting outside the Birmingham, Alabama business

As people stood outside to get into Hush Lounge on Saturday night, multiple shooters shot into the crowd, killing four and injuring 17.
While it happened outside the hookah and cigar lounge, police said the business had nothing to do with what happened.

Police believe the shooting was not random and stemmed from an isolated incident.
One of the people who died was a target, investigators believe. Multiple people were caught in the crossfire.
No one is in custody.

Hush Lounge posted on its Instagram Story Sunday night, calling on people to come together.
"We are deeply saddened by the recent incident that occurred in 5points (sic). Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this senseless act of violence," the statement said.
"It is heartbreaking that a moment meant for gathering and community was shattered by such tragedy. As we all process this, we must continue to support each other, hold space for this pain, and work toward fostering peace and safety in our communities.
"We stand together in grief, solidarity, and the hope for a better, more compassionate future."

Police are asking anyone with information to submit evidence to the Birmingham Police Department's. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777. Tips can be sent to the FBI by calling 1-800-225-5324 or . There is a combined $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
