Rain returns to Alabama Monday, with an unsettled weather pattern most of the week

Rain returns to Alabama Monday, with an unsettled weather pattern most of the week
BUT RIGHT NOW, THE ONLY THING WE鈥橵E BEEN GETTING FROM THE GULF IS THE WARM, HUMID AIR THAT鈥橲 BEEN KEEPING THESE CLOUDS LOOKING PRETTY HEAVY TODAY, BUT NOT EXPECTING ANY RAIN OUT THERE. WE鈥橰E TAKING A LIVE LOOK NOW, GADSDEN, WHERE TEMPERATURES ARE SITTING AT 80 DEGREES. THE COOSA RIVER MOVING NICE AND SLOWLY. BUT AS WE WORK OUR WAY INTO THE REST OF THIS EVENING, TEMPERATURES WILL DROP DOWN TO THE 70S. AND BY TIME WE WAKE UP TOMORROW MORNING, WE鈥橪L BE BACK IN THE 60S FROM 62, WHEN PELL CITY TO 62, IN CLANTON, 65 IN TUSCALOOSA AND 64 DEGREES THERE IN GREENSBORO. THEN WE HAVE A COLD FRONT COMING IN AS WE WORK OUR WAY INTO TOMORROW AFTERNOON. THE HIGHEST CHANCES FOR RAIN ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FRONT WILL BE ALONG NORTH AND WEST ALABAMA, NORTH AND WEST OF I-59 AND I-20. WE鈥橰E NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING SEVERE TOMORROW AFTERNOON, BUT THERE WILL BE A GOOD BIT OF LIGHTNING AND SOME HEAVY RAIN AT TIMES, SIMILAR TO A SUMMER TIME PATTERN. BUT THAT鈥橲 TOMORROW. IT鈥橲 TIME IT OUT FOR YOU. HERE鈥橲 THE FRONT RIGHT THERE. 7:00 MONDAY MORNING, CROSSING THROUGH MISSISSIPPI AND THEN IT ENTERS NORTHWEST ALABAMA. JASPER COUNTY. EXCUSE ME. JASPER. WALKER COUNTY, FAYETTE COUNTY, COLEMAN, WINSTON. MARION. LAMAR. PICKENS COUNTIES. AS EARLY AS 3 P.M. AND THEN IT WILL ENTER CENTRAL ALABAMA ALONG THAT I-65 CORRIDOR THERE, AROUND THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THIS IS TUESDAY, 12 A.M. SOME LINGERING SHOWERS HERE AND THERE. BUT THE COLD FRONT THAT HAS SETTLED ACROSS ALABAMA IS KIND OF GOING TO STAY PUT. MEANING ANY ANY ADDITIONAL UPPER LEVEL LIFT THAT WE GET WILL GENERATE SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS, SOME THUNDERSTORMS TOO. AGAIN, NOTHING SEVERE, BUT THIS WILL KIND OF STAY IN THE SAME PLACE FROM 7 A.M. TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON. THIS IS 3 P.M. AND THEN WE GET INTO TUESDAY NIGHT. WE GET A BREAK, BUT HERE COMES WEDNESDAY MORNING. MORE SHOWERS, MORE THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. THE POINT I鈥橫 TRYING TO MAKE IS GOING TO BE A PRETTY RAINY WEEK AHEAD. AGAIN. SUMMERLIKE IN NATURE. NOT EVERYBODY SEEING RAIN AT THE SAME TIME. PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, BUT PLENTY OF THUNDERSTORMS TOO. WE COULD SEE ANYWHERE BETWEEN A HALF INCH AND UPWARDS TO TWO, IF NOT THREE INCHES FOR SOME PORTIONS OF ALABAMA. HERE鈥橲 YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST TO KIND OF RECAP EVERYTHING. I DO THINK MONDAY AND TUESDAY WILL BE THE RAINIEST OF THE DAYS. WE鈥橪L CLIMB TO THE LOWER 80S TOMORROW AFTERNOON WITH THE RAIN COMING IN AFTERNOON AND THEN HIGHER RAIN CHANCES AGAIN ON TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. THOSE RAIN CHANCES DROP SOME SPOTTY IN NATURE, AND THEN FRIDAY WE GE
