A couple who named their baby after Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes got to meet the superstar at Pittsburgh's PNC Park on April 29. Skenes walked over to the pair during batting practice as they held up a sign that read, “We named our son after you, Skenes!”The pitcher shook hands and even autographed the baby’s onesie.Skenes, 22, was the 2024 National League Rookie of the Year and is widely considered to be one of Major League Baseball's top pitchers.

A couple who named their baby after Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes got to meet the superstar at Pittsburgh's PNC Park on April 29.
