GLADYS TONIGHT AT THE VIGIL, I TALKED TO CHRISTIAN NORRIS鈥橲 COUSIN, WHO SAYS THAT THE FAMILY IS STILL GRIEVING HIM AND ANGELIA WEBSTER鈥橲 LIVES. NOW THAT NO ONE HAS BEEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO THEIR DEATHS. BUT THEY鈥橰E FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE. NOT JUST FOR THEM, BUT FOR ANYONE ELSE WHOSE CASES IS STILL UNSOLVED. IN THE MIDST OF HER GRIEF. AND NOW, 16 YEARS LATER, HERE IT IS AGAIN, HAS HAPPENED IN OUR FAMILY. THE PAIN OF THE COUPLE LOSING THEIR LIVES WHILE THOSE RESPONSIBLE STILL GET TO LIVE AND ARE NOT BEHIND BARS YET, DOESN鈥橳 SIT RIGHT WITH WILSON. PEOPLE ARE VICIOUS. WE NEED TO GET THEM OFF THE STREET. THOUGH WE DO FORGIVE OF WHO DID THESE MURDERS. THEY NEED TO BE OFF THE STREET JUST A FEW DAYS SHY OF IT BEING A MONTH SINCE LOSING NORRIS AND WEBSTER, WILSON IS TURNING HER PAIN INTO PURPOSE IN HOPES TO CHANGE THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE, BREAKING APART FAMILIES LIKE HERS THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITY. IT IS SO CONSTANT, YOU DON鈥橳 HAVE TIME TO MOURN SOME ONE ELSE. AND THEN THERE鈥橲 ANOTHER MURDER AND THEN ANOTHER MURDER. AND SHE HOPES HER PRAYER FOR HELP FROM THE COMMUNITY DOESN鈥橳 GO UNHEARD. THIS THIS IS A EPIDEMIC THAT鈥橲 GOING ON INSIDE OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY, ESPECIALLY. AND UNTIL THE PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY, WE START TO SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND START COMING FORWARD TO SPEAK. IT鈥橲 GOING TO CONTINUE TO HAPPEN. NOW, AGAIN, NO ONE HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR THE DEATHS OF NORRIS AND WEBSTER. NOW, THIS IS AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION, AND ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ASKED TO CALL CRIME STOPPERS AND INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO AN ARREST IS WORTH $5,000. FOR NOW, WE鈥�

Loved ones of a couple found dead just days after Valentine鈥檚 Day gathered to send a message to stop gun violence within the community on Saturday.Angeliyah Webster and Christan Norris were reported missing on Valentine鈥檚 Day in Ensley after they were heading toward a movie theater. Two days later, police found their bodies in Wylam inside the car they were last reported seen in. Police told 米兰体育 13 at the time they had been shot to death.Norris鈥� cousin Sherita Wilson Clark said the family is still grieving his and Webster鈥檚 deaths. No one has been arrested for their murders yet, but they鈥檙e still fighting for justice 鈥� not just for their family 鈥� but for anyone else whose murder is unsolved.鈥淲e are crying now, but it could be your family crying tomorrow,鈥� Clark said. 鈥淢y brother was murdered back in 鈥�08, and they still have not found the person that did that 鈥� not only just him 鈥� it was him and someone else in the car with him. Two dead bodies in a car, and now 16 years later, here it is again has happened in our family.鈥漈he pain of the couple losing their lives while those responsible still get to live and are not behind bars yet doesn鈥檛 sit right with Wilson.鈥淧eople are vicious,鈥� Wilson said. 鈥淲e need to get them off the street. Though we do forgive who did these murders, they need to be off the street.鈥滼ust a few days shy of it being one month since losing Norris and Webster, Wilson is turning her pain into purpose in hopes of changing the cycle of violence breaking apart families like hers throughout her community.鈥淚t is so constant,鈥� Wilson said. 鈥淵ou don鈥檛 have time to mourn someone else, and then there鈥檚 another murder, and then another murder."She hopes her prayer for help from the community doesn鈥檛 go unheard.鈥淭his is an epidemic that鈥檚 going on inside of the Black community, especially,鈥� Wilson said, 鈥渁nd until the people in our community start to say, 鈥楨nough is enough,鈥� and start coming forward to speak, this is going to continue to happen.鈥漀o one has been arrested for Norris and Webster鈥檚 deaths. The case is still being investigated. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers. Any information that leads to an arrest is worth $5,000.
