NOT SURPRISED. TEACHERS WITHIN THE BOONE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT AGREEING TO TAKE A LITTLE LESS VACATION TIME THIS YEAR TO HELP ANOTHER TEACHER. YEAH, ONE OF THEIR OWN CARE FOR HER SICK BABY. SO HERE鈥橲 THE STORY. COLLEEN MCGRATH. SON DANIEL WAS BORN PREMATURE BACK IN NOVEMBER. BEEN IN THE NICU EVER SINCE. SO SHE SAYS THAT HER DOCTOR RECOMMENDED THAT SHE TAKE A FEW MONTHS OFF WORK WHILE SHE TAKES CARE OF HIM. COLLEEN WAS POSTING A PLEA ON FACEBOOK ASKING OTHER TEACHERS IN THE DISTRICT, CAN YOU DONATE SOME OF YOUR SICK TIME, SOME OF YOUR SICK DAYS TO ME? AND SHE GOT THE 60 DAYS SHE NEEDED WITHIN 48 HOURS.
