After taking a nasty fall that left her with 40 stitches on her face in November, Carrie Underwood is finally ready to talk about what really happened."I was taking the dogs out and I just, I tripped," she said on The Bobby Bones podcast, according to OneCountry.com. "There was one step and I didn鈥檛 let go of the leashes. Priorities!" "So, that鈥檚 why my left hand is fine," she continued. "I went to catch myself and just missed a step. If I would鈥檝e fallen anywhere else I would鈥檝e looked just fine.鈥漈he 35-year-old then shared how her injuries affected the progress of her work. "It set me back," Underwood admitted. "The most frustrating part was trying to work out with a broken wrist and how much it can throw off your world, having an appendage that鈥檚 there, but you can鈥檛 use.鈥漈he country music superstar kept a low profile for about five months after the incident, but made her big return at the Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday. 鈥淚t feels good to be back," she told Bobby Bones. "It always feels good, but it feels good."Underwood announced the release date for her sixth studio album "Cry Pretty" Wednesday, so she has plenty of new projects to promote in the upcoming months.However, that doesn't mean that she is done talking about the accident that almost left her scarred for life. 鈥淚 don鈥檛 know if I鈥檒l ever be done talking about it, because it was an event in my life and I鈥檓 OK," Underwood said.
