The organizer of a student walkout over Florida's "Don't Say Gay" bill says he was suspended from Flagler Palm Coast High School because he passed out Pride flags.Jack Petocz, 17, says nearly 500 students joined him to protest. The bill would ban discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity in grades from kindergarten to third grade and limit conversation in other grades.Petocz says he was told the flags violate the student code of conduct.A school district spokesman says he has been "administratively excused" while the district investigates.
