Emma Kenney, who plays teenage daughter Harris on "Roseanne," is seeking treatment for her personal 鈥渂attles,鈥� according to reports by In Touch and E! News. In a statement, Kenney did not specify what she would be receiving treatment for, but said in a statement she wants to 鈥渕ake better choices.鈥濃淚 was running with a really fast crowd. I was being naive and very immature, and I was doing things I should not be doing because it was illegal and I鈥檓 not 21," she told In Touch. 鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 healthy, and it was making me feel even worse 鈥� anxious and depressed. It was just a slippery slope that I did not want to go down. And I knew that I needed to stop it." She said she鈥檚 hoping to learn how to deal with stress and boredom better while she鈥檚 in treatment.Kenney tweeted Monday that she was taking some time off from social media and leaving Los Angeles temporarily. 鈥淭his sounds so cliche, but this town/industry can really get to you,鈥� she wrote. 鈥淕oing to re-find my peace happiness.鈥� The actress, who also stars in "Shameless," said her issues have affected her personal life, but not her professional life. She wanted to speak out to help others with issues like hers. "I just want to send a message to my fans saying that it鈥檚 OK to admit that you need help, and it doesn鈥檛 make you weak,鈥� she told In Touch. 鈥淚 know I鈥檓 making the right choice by going to treatment, and I鈥檓 going to come out the other side the right Emma, the true Emma that I鈥檝e always been."
