'Never give up': Players, fans react to Alabama's insane Iron Bowl victory
A Crimson Tide washed over the city of Auburn Saturday night as both players and fans were left stunned by the ending of the 88th Iron Bowl, which some have already dubbed 'The Nightmare in Jordan-Hare.'
Trailing by four with 1:43 left, Alabama had first-and-goal at the Auburn 7 before moving backward. The Crimson Tide lost 18 yards on a bad snap and were pushed back five more yards with an illegal downfield pass on third down after Jalen Milroe crossed the line of scrimmage.
With 32 seconds left, Milroe hurled the ball downfield, finding Isaiah Bond in the left corner of the end zone and earning the Tide a 10th straight win (27-24) in the latest dramatic Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The Crimson Tide community erupted following the already iconic pass, filling the stadium with Alabama's fight song. Jalen Milroe could be heard repeatedly chanting, "never give up," as he walked off the field.
With yet another intense Iron Bowl under its belt, Alabama now turns its attention to Atlanta, where the team will take on the No. 1 ranked, 11-0 Georgia Bulldogs.
