THE ORGANIZATION PLANS TO FEED AT LEAST 1000 HOUSEHOLDS FREE OF CHARGE. NOW, ACCORDING TO THE FOOD BANK, 1 IN 6 PEOPLE IN CENTRAL ALABAMA EXPERIENCED FOOD INSECURITY, BUT 1 IN 5 OF THOSE PEOPLE ARE CHILDREN. The Community Food Bank of Central Alabama is delivering some holiday cheer to families in need.The Community Food Bank of Central Alabama hosted a food drive in Birmingham Thursday; the organization plans to feed a thousand households free of charge.According to the food bank, one in six people in Central Alabama experience food insecurity, but one in five of those people are children.
