Turns out even former presidents can’t get out of being called to jury duty. President Obama has been summoned for jury duty in Cook County, Illinois, reported the Chicago Tribune. The county’s chief judge said Obama was called because while he lives in Washington D.C., he still owns a home in Chicago’s Kenwood neighborhood. Obama is due to serve sometime next month but it won’t be so simple. Adjustments are being made to accommodate Obama’s security detail. Due to security, the location of the court house is not being released either. “Obviously we will make certain that he has all the accouterments that accompany a former president,�� County Chief Judge Tim Evans said. “His safety will be uppermost in our minds.��
