A Fairfield man has been identified as the person found after an apparent assault in Jefferson County, according to the coroner's office. Forestdale Fire and Rescue pronounced 53-year-old Demetrius Dwight Broom dead in the 1500 block of Pratt Highway just after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
