'I will win': Olivia Newton-John diagnosed with cancer for third time
Olivia Newton-John, the four-time Grammy winner known for role of Sandy Olsson in "Grease," has been diagnosed with cancer for a third time.
鈥淚 believe I will win over it and that's my goal," the singer and actress, who turns 70 this month, said during an .
Doctors discovered a tumor at the base of her spine last year.
Newton-John was first diagnosed with cancer in 1992 after a lump was found on her right breast. After a car crash in 2013, doctors found cancer in her shoulder.
Newton-John has undergone radiation treatment for her current diagnosis, and has cut sugar from her diet. She also is treating her cancer with natural remedies and modern medicines and is taking cannabis oil for her pain.
鈥淚鈥檓 still treating it, and I鈥檓 treating it naturally and doing really well,鈥� she said in the interview.
Newton-John said she is optimistic about her future, but admitted to having moments of grief.
鈥淭here are moments. I鈥檓 human," she said. "So if I allow myself to go there, I could easily create that, you know, big fear."
She said she has no regrets and feels lucky.
鈥淭here are other people out there doing much, much worse than me," she said. "I鈥檓 a very privileged person and I鈥檓 very aware of that. I live in this beautiful place. I have a wonderful husband. I have all the animals that I adore. I have an incredible career. I have nothing, really, to complain about."
