From a seat in stands to a spot on the court, ninth-grader Colin Stevens recently hit the hardwood for the first time.The 14-year-old from Maryland has autism and a passion for basketball.He scored six baskets for the Sparrows Point High School basketball team over the course of the game."It was amazing! More than I expected," he said.The basketball team partnered with Autism Speaks to raise money for the organization.The team has offered Colin a place for him to belong, his family said."They accept him," said Bill Stevens, Colin's father.
