Milroe accounts for 5 TDs as No. 4 Alabama rips Wisconsin 42-10
Just proud of the guys. Uh I thought it was *** solid, just *** solid overall overall performance. Um Team football getting uh the takeaways and putting points on the board when we got the ball back, uh getting *** stop on fourth down scoring, getting the, the field goal forced into *** field goal at the end of the half. And then the offense uh responded with ***, *** quick drive, I think, you know, and then coming back in the third quarter too, uh tho those are big, those are big swings and momentum and uh just, you know, I think our guys uh with their energy, um It was there all week. Uh just knowing that the only choice is always to go back to work and that's the way it's always gonna be. And uh they did exactly that. I thought it was the best rhythm to practice and I think they're getting into the flow now of what *** game plan week looks like. Last week was the first uh week where, you know, you had your, your typical week and not some extra days and this week, uh you could just feel it was uh it was, it was all kind of syncing up. So uh was expecting *** good performance and, you know, it's never going to be perfect but *** lot of great things to build off of. So, yeah, uh Malachi um got hit to the head. So I think we're just, you know, going through the probably the protocol with him, you know, and it helps having *** bi week here. So, uh I'm thinking he'll be all right, uh, and be fine. Russa, uh, lower lower leg. I know, I don't know exactly where, but I know it is lower and, um, you know, we'll just continue to evaluate with him. And who's the third one? Richard Young, I think, same thing. So, just lower, lower leg, I think, actually very similar, you know, below the, below the knee area. So, um, just, uh, we'll continue to evaluate those guys. Definitely good to have *** couple of weeks here getting ready. They, yeah, uh, the offensive line now that you're able to talk your back on the red side. Yeah, I thought they just did ***, *** consistent job of, uh, making sure Jalen, you know, could stay upright, uh, wasn't rushed, hurried. Um, it's amazing how your play calls can just be so much easier and, uh, you know, you're in, down in distances that, uh, much, you know, much more favorable, uh, when you can protect your quarterback and, uh, make every throw count, you know, where there's not throwaways where you're getting hit and, and, uh, I thought there was just good jelling, uh, considered, it was really their first game action altogether. And then, you know, between, uh, running backs and Jalen just, uh, finding the different ways to attack with the run game and, uh, they just, you know, opened up the seams and I felt like really not any missed assignments. I'm sure there is something in there that we'll find. But, uh when it came to run the football, just getting those big bodies all working together and uh whatever play was called, uh I felt like they were, you know, in sync and uh giving us *** chance and then letting Jam, jam and I know Jam had *** big game, uh and J Jalen as well. Uh So I like the balance of what we were able to do both running past and that starts up front. You and Kane both talked this week about turnovers. How pleased were you with how great the defense was? Yeah, you know, those uh two strip sacks, uh those two strips uh could have been really big for us. Uh But that was, you know, getting, getting them early, uh getting one early and just getting that momentum, uh that it just becomes contagious and I, I love it. Uh The guys have *** lot of confidence. Uh We almost had ***, I think an interception there with uh Kon uh early too. And so those guys are playing aggressive, playing confident and, uh, they, you know, they're gonna come in bunches and I feel like we're just still at the tip of the iceberg of what we can do when it comes to taking the ball away. Ok. Um, big day for LT over 10. What do you think he's, you know, you expect that from him and he's just gonna be, um, continually coming after you, you know, and it's not just against one or the other runner pass, it's, it's both, uh he's just *** physical presence in there. Uh Love the way he plays. It's *** businesslike approach that he has, uh whether it's in practice or games. Uh I just got *** lot of trust and confidence that uh he's gonna bring his best and, you know, he fits so well within our scheme and I know we're very confident, whatever it is, if he's got, got something, we're asking him to do that, he's gonna get it done and, uh, make sure he, first of all takes care of his responsibility and then, you know, goes and eats and goes and make plays. I want to ask you about the first touchdown pass that Mill Road threw to Ryan Williams in the end zone. It looked like the trajectory was, was pretty low. Um which kind of allowed him to hit that pass because he might have run out of room in the back of the end zone if he laid it out. What do you think of that? Yeah, I always thought it was right on the money, you know, and I love what Jalen did with those balls that were down the field. Uh Gave our guys *** chance. Now our guys did *** nice job of getting some separation there too. And Ryan, in that case, um you know, you get *** step. Uh let's, let's get it done. And uh like as you said, I mean, you know, you get to the back of the end zone or towards the sideline. Uh Both those things were coming on Ryan quickly. Um but because of the traject trajectory and I think it goes back to the game, Jalen had some time back there. He had *** second to really sort things out, see it not feel rushed and uh put *** good ball on Ryan and Ryan, you know, uh tracking it and, and doing what he does, shaking and stuff and how you like that. They responded and also just, we went to the decision to start pre yeah, you just, you know, Pritchett being healthy and uh just finding that uh you know, really between Cayden Pritchett and the rest of the crew, uh we felt very confident, you know, going into week one, you know, uh and Wilkin will continue to, you know, work in the mix and uh be *** part of it as well. And Geno uh came in and did *** nice job spelling some, some, some snaps there too. So, uh, you're gonna, we're gonna eat them all. We're gonna need them all. I just know how *** season goes and they're just gonna always keep getting better. Um, and that was the first question. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. On the road, I just, you know, there was *** businesslike approach to us in the locker room pregame. There was *** lot of energy, *** lot of fire. I think that's just these guys and their passion. Uh It's, it's impressive, well being in here and it's impressive at halftime. As you're, as you're gaining the momentum that they can just really have that confidence, uh the energy uh being sustained. It's something I'm really learning about our guys, you know, and you see it in practice and you think that that's what's going to be and you just never know. And, and here we are three weeks in, uh and, uh, you know, I'm really pleased with how they, you know, have that businesslike approach, but there's *** lot of energy too because some teams, you know, you have so much energy that you really, you know, you start making those mistakes and I feel like we are able to hone it in the right things and uh focus it on the, on, on the right spots and that's playing well, Jerry. Yeah, that one, that one's *** route that takes *** little time to develop *** little post corner route. I thought it was *** great play call. Uh, when I heard it, I, I loved it and, uh just staying aggressive, obviously, the clock we had to um do that, but the, the time that it took because it does develop *** little bit slower, uh, and J germ doing *** good job of clearing and not running into and using just the venture and savvy this, that he has, uh, to set the direction, set the set, the, uh, path that he was going to be on. And Jalen again giving him *** chance, you know, *** one yard wider and that's an incomplete pass and JM catching it first and then getting his feet down. And so, uh, just *** great execution all around replace touchdown. What would, yeah. Uh, well, and, you know, it happens, I mean, we're going to be aggressive. Uh, we had three time outs and so *** lot of time, uh, with those timeouts. And so, uh, you know, when you got playmakers, like we have, uh, you, you wanna give them chances to make plays and every possession matters. And, uh, you know, we, we went after it and the first, uh, throw down the sideline to Ryan really set things up. Well to now we're, we're looking at getting points no matter what. Uh, I love the aggressiveness again with the play call to go the post corner to germ, uh, and then in the locker room just really not being happy and satisfied with that score coming back out and doing *** good job of executing the next drive. Uh I think that shows growth in our team, you know, that you could do it back to back in those big moments. Uh where really, you know, their team didn't touch the ball and all of *** sudden there's 14 points put on the board. Yeah, there, I think there's *** lot of that. That is just nuances that you don't really realize. And, you know, I think unless you're right there in the fire with the guys that there's just play calling rhythms and y you know, taking the field and how we communicate and there's just, there's so many nuances I think that the great teams have and we're *** work in progress on all those things. I mean, we're, there's things that I saw where we did *** better job and there's things that just still, you know, once in *** while, I don't want to say when I say clunky and it's *** negative word now it's gonna feel, you know, like, hey, we aren't, we aren't doing the things we're supposed to. I think we are, it just takes time, it takes repetitions uh for everyone. And uh we were much more in sync this week uh whether it was today or whether it was all week, our game planning um the calls that we're making, there's recall. Now there's some recall with our play calls from last week or the week before and it isn't just us going against our defense. We're seeing different looks and we're understanding that those adjustments, week to week against different opponents and different schemes um are important and I thought they did *** great job preparing. Set us up for success today. Now you talk *** little bit about Keon Sad or what is near interception there in the first half. What did you, have you seen the first few games? He had to? Yeah, I just, I just, I don't think I'm the only one. I think *** lot of people have *** lot of confidence in him out there, uh, that he's going to be in the right spot. He's instinctive. Uh, he sees the field really well. He feels, he just feels things, um, you know, and he's, he's, uh, I mean, I don't know, I just don't know if he's out of position ever, you know, I mean, I'm sure there, there's, you know, little details that, uh we'll find and so forth, but he, he, I just trust him, I just trust him and I love the, the quiet swagger that he has about him. He just goes out there and it's *** businesslike approach and he loves the game and, uh, I know he, he's, you know, having fun being here and we're, we're certainly glad he's with us, that's for sure. I stay you real tight.
