PEOPLE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND , BUYING ALL 600 CUPCAKES IN A MATTER OF HOURS. ORGANIZERS SAY THEY EXCEEDED THEIR GOAL OF RAISING $2000. GUY: WE WANT TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE TIMELINE OF THIS CASE. SHERI: IT ALL STARTED AT 8:30 ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12. KAMILLE WAS ABDUCTED FROM A BIRTHDAY PARTY AT TOM BROWN VILLAGE. THEN JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT, AUTHORITIES ISSUED AN AMBER ALERT FOR THE THREE-YEAR-OLD. LATER SUNDAY MORNING, THEY HELD A NEWS CONFERENCE. AT NEARLY 1:30 THAT AFTERNOON, BIRMINGHAM POLICE RELEASED THE FIRST PHOTOS OF AN SUV BELIEVED TO BE INVOLVED IN KAMILLE鈥橲 ABDUCTION. AND ABOUT FIVE HOURS LATER, THEY RELEASED THE PICTURE OF A PERSON OF INTEREST. GUY: LATE THAT EVENING, POLICE ANNOUNCED THEY鈥橠 FOUND THE SUV AT A CONDO IN CENTERPOINT, AND TOOK ONE PERSON OF INTEREST INTO CUSTODY FOR QUESTIONING. MONDAY, OCTOBER 14 AT 10:30 IN THE MORNING, THE POLICE CHIEF HELD A NEWS CONFERENCE, ANNOUNCING TWO PEOPLE OF INTEREST WERE IN CUSTODY, AND THEY HAD EXPANDED THE AMBER ALERT TO SURROUNDING STATES. Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney found dead inside dumpster in Birmingham
The body of Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney, the 3-year-old girl who was abducted on Oct. 12, was found inside of a dumpster at a landfill in Gardendale, Birmingham Police Chief Patrick Smith said Tuesday night.Smith said two persons of interest detained early on in the search, Patrick Stallworth and Derick Brown, are expected to be charged with capital murder and kidnapping in connection with Kamille's disappearance and death.Stallworth was jailed on child porn charges and later released on a $500,000 bond. His attorney told 米兰体育 13 his client was "outraged" to have his name linked to kidnapping case. "Tonight, I join all of Alabama in feeling deep sadness over the passing of little Kamille 鈥淐upcake鈥� McKinney, and in praying for her family in this terrible time of loss. The BPD has worked this case tirelessly鈥攁nd continues to do so. Those responsible will be brought to justice."

"Kamille McKinney is gone. Ripped away from her family. The pain her family is enduring right now is unimaginable.

"Know that whomever perpetrated this grisly crime upon this family will be brought to justice and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

"But tonight, right now, at this moment, I ask one thing of this community. Not to take sides. Not to finger-point. I ask every member of the 99 neighborhoods that makes up our city to stand in solidarity beside this broken family. Now, more than ever, this family needs us.

Along with law enforcement, thousands of people came out to try and find Cupcake and shared information that might lead to her being found. On behalf of the Birmingham City Council, I鈥檓 offering my sincere condolences to her family and all who knew her.鈥�
