is rocking some new ink. However, some fans aren't thrilled.
The singer went to celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Winter, aka Winter Stone, to get the words 鈥済od鈥檚 work鈥 etched on her arm. Rimes showed off the 鈥渂eautiful鈥 finished product on social media.
Many of Rimes' followers took to the comment section to express how much they love the delicate body art, writing that it鈥檚 鈥減erfect鈥 and 鈥渟o classy and from the heart.鈥 But there were a few fans who took issue with one very particular detail.
The entire phrase was written in lowercase, and some weren鈥檛 pleased that she chose not to capitalize 鈥済od.鈥 Many left responses in the vein of, 鈥淕od should be capitalized鈥 and 鈥淚t鈥檚 God. Not god. FYI.鈥 One said, 鈥淚 luv it but God is GOD! God should have a capital G.鈥
But a flurry of her supporters stood up for Rimes鈥 decision: 鈥淪ome are pointing out to LeAnn that God is spelled with a capital G, not a small g,鈥 someone wrote. 鈥淎lthough there is one Truth, remember everyone鈥檚 interpretation of the truth is different.鈥 They also added, 鈥淚鈥檓 sure LeAnn knows the difference between God & god and she wrote it exactly how she wanted to, in how it鈥檚 meaningful to her.鈥
The wise response was well received by Rimes, who wrote back to the user with a heart emoji.
