And though Noah has since recovered, and Bublé’s wife, Luisana Lopilato, gave birth to their third child this July, the trauma of Noah’s cancer has led Bublé to re-evaluate his life and career.But that doesn’t mean he’s leaving the music industry. His representative had to clear the air about that after he said he was “retiring�� from music in an interview with the Daily Mail's Weekend Magazine. "He is NOT retiring," a rep for the singer told Today.com. "Definitely not."The star caused a frenzy when he told the magazine: “This is my last interview. I’m retiring from the business. I’ve made the perfect record and now I can leave at the very top," he said ahead of the release of his new album, Love. The quote came after a long interview in which Bublé talks about how he wanted to take a ��10-year sabbatical�� after Noah’s cancer battle. “I don’t have the stomach for it anymore," he said. “The celebrity narcissism. I started to crumble. But then I started to wonder why I wanted to do this in the first place. I’d forgotten that it’s about souls connecting, because I’d become so anxious.”But he ended up making a new album after jamming with his band and realizing it brought him joy. “It was then that I realized I’d missed making music,�� he said. “I didn’t even know I’d missed it. This was about a year ago.”Plus, he said he wanted to make new music because of his fans, who stood behind him during his darkest days. “I felt a debt of gratitude, deeper than I can explain, to the millions of people all over the world who prayed for us and showed us compassion,�� he said. “That gave me faith in humanity.”So while Bublé’s quote may have reflected a real hesitance to keep up with being in the public eye, his comments about retiring may have been taken out of context. Rest assured, there will be more Bublé songs for many holiday seasons to come.
