Alabama, Auburn players selected in the second and third round of the NFL Draft

The NFL Draft kicked off a second night in Kansas City Friday with the second and third rounds. Six more players from Alabama colleges were selected. Former Auburn player Derik Hall was the sixth pick and selected by the Seattle Seahawks. The Detroit Lions selected former Alabama cornerback Brian Branch. Four other former Alabama players and one Auburn player were picked in the third round. Tyler Steen was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles and Byron Young is headed to Las Vegas to play for the Raiders. Late in the third round, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Jordan Battle and Cameron Latu was picked by the San Francisco 49ers. Former Tigers running back Tank Bigsby was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Three Alabama players were drafted in the first round Thursday night, including quarterback Bryce Young, the draft's overall number one pick. Young was selected by the Carolina Panthers.
