Saban picked Georgia as his national champion, citing that the Bulldogs and Oregon are, to him, the top two teams in college football.
For the new 12-team playoff format, Saban has Alabama in the postseason as a seven seed facing No. 10 Notre Dame. His predicted champion Georgia is the top overall seed.
He has three more SEC teams in, new member Texas as the five seed, Ole Miss at eight and LSU as the 11th seed. The Missouri Tigers are his first team out.
