COMING UP IN JUST A FEW MINUTES. ALL RIGHT. THANKS SO MUCH, TAYLOR. WELL, NEW AT MIDDAY. WE NOW KNOW THE NAME OF A MAN FROM LAST NIGHT鈥橲 HOMICIDE IN INGLENOOK. THE CORONER鈥橲 OFFICE IDENTIFYING HIM AS NEHEMIAH WREN. OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE SCENE ON 41ST WAY NORTH JUST BEFORE 845. WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THEY FOUND WREN SHOT INSIDE OF A CAR AT AN ABANDONED FIELD ON 46TH STREET NORTH. POLICE BELIEVE THAT WREN MAY HAVE CRASHED IN THAT AREA AFTER SOMEONE SHOT HIM.

Birmingham police responded to the scene of a homicide Monday night.Around 8:40 p.m., police responded to the 4500 block of 41st Way North on reports that shots had been fired, according to the Birmingham Police Department. Inside the vehicle, officers found a man who appeared to have been shot. Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.He was later identified as Nehemiah Williams Wren, 20, of Birmingham.Officers believe he was shot in the 4100 block of 46th Avenue North.There is no one in custody.Police said they have little to work with and ask anyone with information to call them at 205-54-1764, or CrimeStoppers at 205-254-7777.This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available. Inside the vehicle, officers found a man who appeared to have been shot. Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.

He was later identified as Nehemiah Williams Wren, 20, of Birmingham.
