'Remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then': A look back at Alabama's first National Championship win
'Remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then."
These are just a few of the words contained in Alabama's oh-so-famous fight song, "Yae, Alabama."
You'd be hard-pressed to find a member of the Crimson Tide community not humming that tune as the team preps to take the field in Pasadena.
But did you know that those legendary lyrics came out the year that Alabama won its first national championship... in the Rose Bowl no less!
In 1926, the Tide traveled to sunny California to take on the Washington Huskies in "The Grandaddy of Them All."
The bowl game marked the first appearance of any Southern football team in Pasadena, earning it the title of "The Game That Changed The South.
