It might seem a little too early to talk about this, but some stores are getting ready for back-to-school shopping. Target just announced two big savings events that are bigger and will last longer than in years prior.College Students Target is bumping up its discount for college students from 15% to 20% this year. You can save on a one-time purchase of dorm room stuff or school supplies. The sales lasts from July 3 to Sept. 3. Click here for more information including the coupon. Teachers For educators, the retailer’s Teacher Prep Event is back and it’s six weeks longer than last year. Teachers can save 15% on school supplies. Eligible educators include; all K-12 and homeschool teachers, those working at daycare centers and early childhood learning centers, vocational or technical schoolteachers and professors working at universities or colleges. All you need to do is join the Target Circle loyalty program and verify you’re an educator. It’s free too! This discount event runs from July 17 to Sept. 10. Tax-Free Weekends Target is participating in sales tax holidays as well. Stores in states with sales-tax holiday events will not charge sales tax, giving guests in those areas another way to save.
