Friends and family, as well as celebrities, took time Tuesday to stop and remember the legendary actress best known for her role as Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy: Carrie Fisher.
鈥淐arrie was one-of-a-kind鈥rilliant, original. Funny and emotionally fearless. She lived her life, bravely鈥y thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd, and her many friends. We will all miss her.鈥
Daisy Ridley sent a statement as well saying "Devastated at this monumental loss. How lucky we all are to have known her, and how awful that we have to say goodbye.鈥
Tina Fey, who once had Fisher guest star on 鈥30 Rock鈥 said, 鈥淐arrie Fisher meant a lot to me. Like many women my age, Princess Leia occupies about sixty percent of my brain at any given time. But Carrie鈥檚 honest writing and her razor-sharp wit were an even greater gift. I feel so lucky that I got to meet her. I鈥檓 very sad that she is gone."
Fisher suffered a cardiac arrest just before Christmas and later died in the hospital.
