High school teacher gets mortgage paid for the year
A Maryland high school teacher just got her mortgage paid for the rest of the year.
Amy Bowden, a high school math teacher at Chesapeake High School Stem Academy, was presented with a check from Next Step Realty as a part of their Mortgage on the House annual sweepstake.
Bowden described winning as "amazing."
"Well, considering the first month of moving into this house, I had a lot of problems with the house and was able to, luckily, do some repairs, but this is just going to help me build back the money I lost in the first month of owning the home," she said.
Every year, anyone who purchases a home through Next Step Realty is automatically entered to win a check that covers their entire mortgage payment for the year.
When asked if she ever won anything before, Bowden said: "No! When she called me and told me I won 鈥 I don't win bingo, I don't win anything 鈥 so this was incredible and restored my faith in everything now."
