"We're going to go downstairs," Kemp says, guiding visitors and 米兰体育13's Brittany Decker through a bustling gymnasium with basketball courts and a perimeter track and by the accessible pools designed for competition and rehabilitation.
"As the official US Paralympic training site, we have immense respect for Team USA Wheelchair Rugby and Boccia USA," Kemp proudly said, underscoring Lakeshore's role in nurturing athletes from novice to elite levels.
July 26 marked a significant milestone with the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, a landmark legislation that Kemp himself helped champion.
"It's our civil rights law that protects all aspects of our life 鈥� fundamental to our quality of life and participation," Kemp said. "Lakeshore Foundation isn't just a facility; it's a place of hope and empowerment."
