THE COLLEGE. WELL, THIS AFTERNOON, SOME OF THE STARS OF THE UAB FOOTBALL TEAM FOUND TIME TO GIVE BACK. SEVERAL PLAYERS TOOK THE TIME TO ASSEMBLE BOXES AT THE COMMUNITY FOOD BANK OF CENTRAL ALABAMA. YOU SEE THEM THERE. THE PLAYERS SAY THAT THEY鈥橰E HONORED TO HELP THE ORGANIZATION THAT FEEDS SO MANY FAMILIES IN NEED ACROSS OUR AREA. Members of the University of Alabama at Birmingham football team spent time Monday giving back to the community.The UAB student-athletes were at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama in Birmingham to help in efforts that will feed neighbors in need.The football players took part in packing boxes with food items which will be distributed to some of the folks in the 12 counties which the food bank serves.All the players with whom we spoke felt it was important to give back.The Community Food Bank of Central Alabama has opportunities if you'd like to volunteer your time in helping those in need in our communities.Coming Together: Project CommUNITY
