Uncle Ben鈥檚 rebranded products are now available in stores
Former Uncle Ben's rice products now have a revamped name and packaging appearing in stores nationwide. Parent company Mars Food says Ben's Original is now available.
The company announced last year that it would "evolve" the Uncle Ben's name and branding, as several other brands did, including Aunt Jemima and Cream of Wheat.
In a press release about the new name, Mars said last year the change is "signaling the brand鈥檚 ambition to create a more inclusive future while maintaining its commitment to producing the world鈥檚 best rice."
The longtime logo was also removed from packaging.

According to , "white Southerners once used 'uncle' and 'aunt' as honorifics for older Blacks because they refused to say 'Mr.' and 'Mrs.'"
