'I do owe my life to them': Couple helps save neighbor's life by administering CPR
A Pennsylvania man is thanking his neighbors after they helped save his life.
Chris Favorin is weeks away from his wedding and the future is looking bright for the 53-year-old from York. But a few days ago, he could have died.
"I do owe my life to them, absolutely, and I believe it was because of the CPR they gave me," he said.
When Favorin experienced chest pains after a workout on Friday, he knew his next-door neighbors were his best hope.
Chris Mowry is a firefighter and medic. His wife, Rachel, is a nurse practitioner. They knew what to do when Favorin collapsed on their front porch.
"It was still my neighbor, and it was still my friend and of course I was worried," Rachel Mowry said.
The couple called 911 and performed chest compressions. Favorin was rushed to the hospital.
He is thankful the Mowrys were there to save him.
"I was not ready to go, and I praise the Lord for keeping me around," he said.
The Mowrys are urging the community to learn CPR.
"Literally anyone off the street can do it and do it right and can make a difference," Chris Mowry said.
