42nd Alabama State Games kick off with excitement and tradition
Play the music. Light the flame. The 42nd Alabama State games are here. I've been cooped up in the house all summer and I'm really excited just to come do some fun things. Nothing but fun in store for the near 4400 athletes competing. I'm really excited, but I just, I'm just here to play my best. They're from all over the state and of all ages. From like little to like big to actually compete in the games that like it shows that kids wanna. Put that stuff out there it's like being *** part of *** family, you know, we're all *** bunch of athletes, so it gives us *** like she said, *** big opportunity. Some with generational ties to the games. My son Zeke, when he was young, he participated. Now I got my grandson Joe. So he's here and he's participating and it's good to see my son, now my grandson, and to see my son carried on. He's *** coach now, so I get *** chance to sit back and sort of relax now and watch him do what I used to do. All competing for gold. My mom's like, Hey, do you want to come? And then I'm like, Yeah, I want to win the ribbons. That's the plan to medal and Celebrate the medals and the wins, even the losses, and have fun. During *** one of *** kind weekend. I started this about when I was seven-ish, so I was very little whenever I started, so it was amazing for me getting to see all the live bands and all the performances that were held, the national anthem of course. That's all about the kids. The idea of keeping these kids busy, give them something to look forward to, uh, and that's the most important thing. In Birmingham, Julian Mitchell, 米兰体育 13.
