Several immigration groups have joined together to provide a hotline that keeps track of active ICE operations in central Alabama. Now they're working to spread word about that number so residents can report ICE activity.888-664-2325 is the number to call. It's the Bham Migra Watch hotline designed to keep track of and document ICE activity in the metro area. Allison Hamilton with the Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice said, 鈥淚f we receive a call about possible activity, we send trained volunteers to go out and verify what's happening as best that they can. And, we might put out a post on our Facebook and Instagram,"Hamilton said the volunteer verifiers are needed because often, ICE agents are under cover, wearing plain clothes. The volunteers are there to confirm they are real federal agents. They also want to make sure anyone being questioned knows their rights.
