A story out of South Carolina is warming hearts. The City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department shared a story about an unusual call they received this week. There was no fire but they did come to the aid of a young boy.The department received word that a local autistic boy, Cooper, had only one friend show up to his birthday party. "Cooper has autism so making friends can be difficult at times but Cooper is a very energetic kindergartner who loves having a good time," the Facebook post read.So firefighters threw Cooper another party that started with being picked up at his school by a fire truck. What followed was a party with a lot more than just one friend, plus firefighters, fire trucks, bikers, a cake and presents."Thank you Cooper for letting us be a part of your special day, we hope you had a great day!" the department posted.
