She's *** champion on the court. *** champion that should have been on the court here this weekend. But she was *** champion yesterday when she stood up and said, I may have done something unintentional. I will own that. And I want young people, young fans around the world to own whatever they do. Let me be *** model. I do not know what the outcome will be. She doesn't know she stood up and own it. I hope the world owns that. She has stood up. Is that role model. I am in the position where I understand that what they are doing is very challenging due to the circumstances with Russia and the United States right now. And so I want to make it very clear that our next move as supporters for B. G. Is to make sure that the administration understands that they have our full support and doing any and everything necessary to be able to bring B. G home as well as every other wrongfully detained american natural. What's going we all be G. We are all B. G. We're all G.

Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner was at the forefront of everyone's mind as the WNBA All-Star game tipped off in Chicago on Sunday.Griner was named an honorary All-Star player this year and every effort was made to spread awareness of her situation.It comes after the two-time U.S. Olympic basketball gold medalist pleaded guilty to drug charges at a Russian court near Moscow on Thursday but the U.S. State Department says she is wrongfully detained.She now faces up to 10 years in prison under the charge.Before the game, Griner's name was announced along with a graphic of her while her initials were displayed courtside.Players also emerged in the second half with jerseys donning Griner's name and number on the back as Team Wilson defeated Team Stewart 134-112."We are the most unified league in the world honestly and wearing the jerseys was a statement to show that we are BG ," A'ja Wilson told reporters after the match."She's our sister and, at the end of the day, we are going to do whatever we can to amplify the platform that we have to make sure that everyone is doing what they need to do to make sure that she gets home safely."It's hard.
