Friendly dog photobombs every Google street view of island
Only two humans inhabit the tiny island of Jukdo off the coast of South Korea, so maybe that's why the island's resident golden retriever took such an interest in the stranger with the contraption on his back.
Lugging an unwieldy street view camera, Google mapper Daum journeyed to Jukdo to photograph the half-mile-long-by-third-of-a-mile-wide rock despite the fact that Jukdo lacks streets.
The whole time, his new shaggy companion followed him around as if Daum had stuffed bacon in his pockets. The result? Google's street views of Jukdo have more dog shots than "Old Yeller."
Medicinal herbs are grown on the island, which is accessible by ferry and has an observatory. Tourists who climb a long spiral staircase are rewarded with gorgeous ocean views.
Daum filmed the street views of Jukdo in 2010, but nobody noticed that they starred the friendly retriever until last week.
