Gov. Ivey signs Alabama Speedy Trial Act into law
HAVE NOT SELECTED THEIR APPOINTMENT. A PUSH FOR QUICKER JUSTICE IN ALABAMA TODAY. GOVERNOR IVEY SIGNED HOUSE BILL 307, KNOWN AS THE SPEEDY TRIAL ACT, INTO LAW. IT WILL EXPEDITE TRIALS FOR VIOLENT CRIMINAL CASES AND REDUCE BACKLOGS. IT鈥橲 SET TO GO INTO EFFECT ON JUNE 1ST.
