Water service restored in Hoover after planned outage for main replacement
Water service has been restored forHoover residents, according to the Birmingham Water Works.
BWW officials say the outage allowed its crews to replace two valves and a 10-foot section of an eight-inch water main. The project is part of BWW鈥檚 capital infrastructure improvement plan.
Work was completed and water service restored by 4 a.m. Friday. The outage impacted approximately 370 service connections (water meters).
Residents should run cold water through their faucets for five minutes to flush the pipes if they experience air in their plumbing or brown water, according to BWW.
