New Alabama laws target illegal immigration in the state. Gov. Kay Ivey signed Senate Bill 158 and Senate Bill 63 into law May 12.According to a news release, SB158 is designed to strengthen Alabama law against illegal immigration and voting by non-citizens and SB63 requires law enforcement to collect fingerprints and DNA samples from illegal immigrants already in custody.鈥淎labama is taking steps to protect our communities from impacts on public safety and the integrity of our elections,鈥� said Gov.
