Prince George arrives to first day of school with dad Prince William
Britain's future king arrived to his first day of school hand-in-hand with his dad, but his royal mother was unable to take part.
Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, recently revealed she is expecting a third child and that acute morning sickness prevented her from appearing with her husband and son. Kate suffered the same illness while she was pregnant with both Prince George, now 4, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 2.
George arrived on time for his first day at Thomas鈥檚 Battersea school in south London. Wearing his navy uniform, George shook hands with the head of the lower school, Helen Haslam, before entering the facility.
The prince's new school has been described as "a big, busy, slightly chaotic school for cosmopolitan parents who want their children to have the best English education money can buy," according to the UK Good Schools Guide.
Along with photos of George's first day, Kensington Palace released decades-old pictures from William and Prince Harry's first day of school. In the photo, the boys' mother Princess Diana, can be seen walking her children to meet their school teacher.
