ACCEPTING CARE. AND AS YOU MAY KNOW, TODAY IS FLAG DAY IN THE CITY OF PELHAM HELD A SPECIAL EVENT IN HONOR OF THE OCCASION. MANY GATHERED AT THE CITY鈥橲 DESIGNATED SPOT FOR A FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY. NOW PEOPLE WERE ABLE TO BRING THEIR WORN OR TATTERED FLAGS AND LAY THEM ACROSS THE FIRE IN ACCORDANCE WITH U.S. FLAG CODE. EAGLE SCOUT SEAN GU-WIN SAYS HE CAME UP WITH THE IDEA AS PART OF A PROJECT FOR HIS ORGANIZATION. I JUST WANTED TO HAVE A FLAG RETIREMENT THAT WOULD SHOW HOW WE HONOR AND THE RESPECT THAT NEEDS TO BE GIVEN TO THE AMERICAN FLAG, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM THAT ARE WEATHERED, THAT ARE WORN, THEY鈥橰E FADED.
