It's business as usual for those who were open Monday in the entertainment district. But that doesn't mean the owners are not struggling with what happened there Saturday night.
Some business owners shared their thoughts and prayers with the victims of the shooting.
They told 米兰体育 13's Magdala Louissaint that on Sunday, it was a normal day with customers coming in, but they think some may not have realized the gravity of this shooting until it hit national news.
When asked if the incident impacted customer turnout, owners noted that Monday is typically slow, making it hard to directly connect the decline to the shooting.
One business said they sent a server home because they didn't have enough customers come in to eat.
The owner of a nearby coffee shop mentioned that customers he hadn't seen in a while came in just to check if they were okay after hearing about the shooting.
Louissaint spoke with the Five Points South neighborhood president about whether he believes this shooting will bring down the livelihood of this entertainment district.
"I think things were improving quickly and it was very exciting and this is a significant blow to that progress which a lot of people have put in a tremendous amount of effort people were trying to achieve," Will Jones said.
