Trebek has two people in mind to replace him

It鈥檚 nearly impossible to imagine "Jeopardy!" without its host, Alex Trebek. But that might just be the case in a few years. In a new interview, Trebek said there鈥檚 a chance he might retire from the show once his contract is up in 2020. He has hosted television shows for more than 50 years, and has hosted "Jeopardy!" for more than 33 years.Trebek sat down with TMZ founder Harvey Levin for an interview on his Fox News show, "OBJECTified." And he said he could imagine his life without "Jeopardy!," and the chances he鈥檒l stay after 2020 are 鈥�50/50, and a little less.鈥� Earlier this year, he took time off from hosting the show to undergo surgery for blood clots on his brain. He also recommended two choices for who could replace him on the show. The first person is Alex Faust, a 28-year-old hockey announcer for the LA Kings. The second is attorney Laura Coates, who works as a legal analyst for CNN. Coates tweeted she was 鈥渋ncredibly honored and humbled鈥� to know Trebek even knew about her, let alone say she could replace him. 鈥淚 grew up watching with my family and still watch with my own kids, who saw him say this and now think I鈥檓 a genius,鈥� she wrote.
