Carrie Underwood posted a new Instagram photo on Friday signaling that new music is in the works. The photo is of her on stage rehearsing with a band, showing her full face for the first time since her accident this past fall. "Missed these guys. #bandrehearsals," she wrote in her Instagram caption. If she were planning a comeback for next weekend's ACM Awards, the timing would be pretty great. Though naturally, she's not giving any more details. Back in November, Carrie Underwood suffered a scary fall on stairs outside her home. The country music star told her fans that she had to get more than 40 stitches in her face, and warned she 鈥渕ight look a little different鈥 once she got back in front of a camera.Underwood was first spotted after the accident by a fan back in January, who said on social media that she 鈥渓ooked amazing.鈥 The only injury visible in that photo was her broken wrist, which required surgery to mend. But Underwood kept her face off social media entirely until this week, and any photo she posted would mostly obscure her face, or focus on her family and her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, instead.Months later, Underwood is clearly inching back into the spotlight, and she looks like she鈥檚 fully recovered— and ready to release new music, too. On Wednesday, Underwood posted a photo on Twitter and Instagram without a caption, showing herself in a recording studio. Half her face was visible, and it was the first time she鈥檇 showed that much of her face since the accident. But what鈥檚 most important for fans is that she鈥檚 doing okay, and that we鈥檒l likely be hearing more of her music very soon. She鈥檚 reportedly set to perform at the CMA Fest this June, and released a music video for 鈥淭he Champion," an Olympic anthem featuring Ludacris, earlier this year. And here鈥檚 hoping she鈥檒l make an appearance at this year鈥檚 ACM Awards, too, since she鈥檚 nominated for female vocalist of the year.
