New charges reveal graphic details about missing Fayette County toddler's abuse

New indictments revealed graphic details about the abuse of a 15-month-old Fayette County toddler who is presumed dead.
On Tuesday, the court records against Kahleb Collins' mother, Wendy Bailey, and grandfather, John Bailey, were published.
Each are facing an aggravated child abuse charge, four counts of domestic violence and an abuse of a corpse allegation.
The indictments add three additional domestic violence charges against both defendants.
John Bailey was indicted on an additional hindering prosecution charge.
The whole saga unfolded following a crash on Dec. 8, 2024, during which Collins' 2-year-old older sister Ryleigh and father Steven Collins were killed.
Mother Wendy Bailey survived.
At the time, investigators said they learned a second child, Kahleb Collins, had not been seen for several months.
Eventually, they determined the 15-month-old had suffered severe abuse and had died.
His body has still not been found.
On March 19, a Fayette County grand jury against Kahleb Collins' mother and grandfather.
They show that the toddler had been mistreated on more than two occasions.
The alleged abuse included hanging the child from the ceiling or another object and restraining her to a chair or another object with zip ties or other ligatures.
The charging documents also accuse both Wendy and John Bailey of beating Kahleb Collins during the abuse.
Kahleb Collins' body was never recovered, but in a previous court record, prosecutors stated, "Upon the death of Kahleb Rowan Collins his body was placed into a bag and stored in an outside storage building for a brief period prior to disposal at an unknown location."
Wendy Bailey has also been indicted on criminally negligent homicide for failing to properly secure her daughter, Ryleigh Collins, prior to the fatal Dec. 8 crash.
Arraignment hearings for both John and Wendy Bailey are scheduled for Aug. 7.
