Mother of 1-year-old believed to be dead facing abuse, negligence, homicide charges in Fayette County
The mother of missing 1-year-old Kahleb Rowan Collins, now believed dead, is facing charges related to the child and the death of his sister, according to the .
Although his body has not been recovered, investigators believe that Kahleb has been dead for several months. He was last seen in September. Teams are still searching for his remains.
Wendy Pamela Bailey, 22, is charged with aggravated child abuse, domestic violence, abuse of a corpse and criminally negligent homicide.
The criminally negligent homicide charge is related to the death of 2-year-old Ryleigh Collins, Kahleb's sister. Officials said she was unrestrained in the vehicle driven by Steven Bradley Collins when it crashed on Dec. 8. in the Glen Allen community. Steven Collins, 40, was also killed in that crash. Wendy Bailey was critically injured.

According to the crash report, Steven was driving aggressively at 92 miles per hour on the wet street.
The sheriff's office said law enforcement was told a day later that the man and woman in the crash "had another child" who was unaccounted for, according to a news release.

On Dec. 11, John Elton Bailey, Kahleb's custodian, was taken into custody for failing to report a missing child. Court documents show there were physical injuries to the child, and he was removed from the home and taken to an unknown location, but no report was made by anyone in the home.

Wendy Bailey is in the Fayette County Jail awaiting a bond hearing. The state intends to request that bond in the cases be denied pursuant to Anaih鈥檚 Law.
