They have since been jailed on charges unrelated to the kidnapping.The little girl's father and grandmother have made pleas for her safe return. The state of Alabama and a private citizen are offering cash rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the kidnapping of 3-year-old Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney in Birmingham.

On Tuesday, Governor Kay Ivey's office announced a $5,000 reward for tips in the investigation, and Birmingham Police Chief Patrick Smith said a private citizen is offering $1,000. Smith and Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr held a news conference asking for the public's help in the search for Cupcake, who hasn't been seen since being abducted on Oct. 12 while attending a birthday party in Tom Brown Village.

Birmingham police announced the arrest of 29-year-old Derick Brown and 39-year-old Patrick Stallworth at a news conference late Tuesday afternoon. Both are facing charges unrelated to the kidnapping of Kamille McKinney.

The little girl's father and grandmother have made pleas for her safe return. Both are confident they will be reunited with Cupcake.

"They could have took her to Jupiter. We're going to find her," said Dominic McKinney, the child's father.
